California, Here We Come! Omni Controllers Are Now CEC Title 24 Certified

After many months of combined effort with our North American partners, we are very pleased to announce that Omni by Innotech has been certified and listed on the California Energy Commission's (CEC) website as a Title 24 compliant Economizer Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FDD) device.

The Title 24 certification for our Omni Controllers was achieved by a collaborative effort with our California dealer Phil Batterson from Alliance Air Products.

California has some of the most stringent and aggressive energy saving policies in the United States. Most states eventually adopt these polices.

With this certification, Omni can provide the economizer functionality in addition to its primary BEMS controller role. This means you no longer need to install a separate economizer controller such as Belimo’s ZIP controller or Honeywell’s JADE controller. Omni can now be the single controls solution for any Rooftop Unit (RTU) over 4.5 tons sold and installed in the State of California.

We have developed a logic set that can be inserted into any Omni program configuration to satisfy the FDD requirements. We have also generated a User Manual and rigorous testing documents that were supplied to the CEC.

Phil enlisted the help of an independent engineer to test the FDD functionality and submit the testing documentation to the CEC for approval.

We are very excited at the possibilities that this certification will provide to our North American customers.
